peanut butter chocolate chip cookies

I will never claim to have created the cookie, but I might have mastered it with this recipe.

the recipe

I suggest freezing these when you make them and then taking one at a time as you want them, but if you need to have them right away (which is understandable), I have directions for both.

Ingredients

I put everything in grams, so that I can measure everything out I find it works best when measured that way.

  • 113 grams salted butter (about 1 stick or 1/2 cup)

  • 135 grams creamy peanut butter (2/3 cup)

  • 50 grams of sugar (1/4 cup)

  • 135 grams brown sugar (3/4 cup)

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 egg

  • sprinkle salt (leave out if your butter is super salty)

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 155 grams of flour (1 1/4 cups)

  • chocolate chips

Directions

  1. preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. mix melted butter with peanut butter till smooth and creamy

  3. add in both sugars and mix till it seems light and fluffy

  4. add egg, vanilla, and baking soda

  5. slowly add in flour but be careful not to overmix

  6. stir in chocolate chips

  7. form into balls

  8. freeze over night or for 30 minutes, then put in the oven at 350 for around 20 minutes
